Gary Yellin has a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from University of South Florida and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Old Dominion University.

Gary has been an active volunteer, giving his time to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Special Olympics and Make A Wish. He served as President of his daughter’s PTA for 4 years, and Chaired on the Advisory Council to the Wake County School Board.

Gary has lived in the Triangle since 1988. He previously lived in New York, Tampa and Virginia Beach. He has two daughters, Krysta and Brenna. He has traveled extensively throughout the US, and has also spent time in Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
